Scope of work
- Develop mechanical designs and assemblies for specialist industrial equipment.
- Produce detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
- Design components and assemblies for manufacture, assembly, installation and service.
- Develop design concepts in response to customer and engineering requirements.
- Modify and improve existing products and designs.
- Produce accurate Bills of Materials and engineering documentation.
- Ensure designs meet required performance, quality and safety standards.
- Participate in design reviews and technical problem-solving.
Requirements
- An engineering qualification or equivalent practical engineering experience.
- Experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment, or a relevant engineering degree for graduate applicants.
- Good knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience or strong academic knowledge of 3D CAD.
- Experience producing, or an understanding of, engineering/manufacturing drawings.
- An understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and tolerances.
- Strong technical problem-solving ability.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A practical and hands-on approach to engineering.
Benefits, as stated by the firm
- £32,000 per annum.
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm.
- Full-time, permanent position.
- 20 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays.
