About this index

What this is

An index of current drafting, detailing and BIM positions, filed by the software each one asks for and ordered by the date it was received. It is built as a drawing index rather than as a stack of job cards, because that is the document a drafter already knows how to read: top to bottom, newest first, opening the one sheet worth opening.

Entries are gathered from the job boards of a curated register of firms and filed against this index’s vocabulary. Each firm’s own posting is the authority; this sheet summarises it and links to it. Place names are resolved with data from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Who reads it

Drafters, BIM technicians and design technicians in their first four years. Recent graduates of drafting, architectural technology and engineering technology programmes are the middle of the readership. The board carries nothing above intermediate grade, so a reader is never scrolling past senior work they cannot take.

How it is kept

• Early-career work only, in four grades — graduate, entry, junior and intermediate. Nothing above intermediate is indexed.
• A four-year ceiling on experience asked for. Senior, lead and supervisory postings are out of scope.
• No entry requires PE or equivalent licensure. Where a firm offers to fund it, that is recorded as something offered, not something asked for.
• Entries are filed in the order received, newest first. There is no re-sort — an index is chronological.
• Compensation prints in the currency it was posted in. Nothing is converted, and a figure that was never stated prints as a ruled blank rather than being hidden.
• Applications are made on the hiring firm’s own site. This board takes none, keeps no account, and holds nothing you send them.

What money does and does not do

Firms post here for a fee, and a firm may also pay for the featured band above the index. That band is marked, fenced, and skipped on any filtered view. Nothing paid for changes the index itself, which is ordered by date received and nothing else — no promoted rows, no weighting, no re-sort a reader cannot see. The rate card sets out what a listing costs.
