Readers
Reading the index asks nothing of you. There is no reader account, no analytics script, no advertising tracker, and no cookie set on a reader — the board does not know who you are and has no way to find out. What exists is the hosting provider’s ordinary server log, kept briefly for operations, and nothing else.
Applying takes you to the hiring firm’s own site. From that click onward the firm’s privacy policy applies, not this one — the board never sees the application, and holds nothing you send them.
Employers
A firm that buys a listing gives the board an email address. That address is the account: sign-in is a single-use link sent to it, stored only as a hash once minted. A signed-in session is one cookie — signed, readable by no script, and strictly necessary, which is why there is no cookie banner to click through. The board also keeps what you filed and a reference to your Stripe customer record, so it can honour the credits and subscriptions you bought.
The board sends no marketing email. The only mail it originates is the sign-in link you asked for; receipts come from Stripe.
The index itself
Entries are gathered from firms’ public job postings and summarised. They are business information — a position, a firm, a place — not personal profiles, and the board compiles nothing about individuals. A firm that wants its postings off the index is removed on request, immediately: post@hiredrafters.com.
Who processes what
Four services process data on the board’s behalf, each under its own agreement. Data is stored in the United States.
- Stripe
- Payments. Your card details go to Stripe directly and never touch the board; the board keeps a customer reference and what it needs to honour what you bought.
- Resend
- Email. Carries the single-use sign-in link to the address you give. Receipts come from Stripe.
- Vercel
- Hosting. Serves the site and keeps ordinary server logs — requested pages, IP addresses, user agents — briefly, for operations and abuse prevention.
- Neon
- The database, in the eastern United States. Holds the register and the employer accounts.
Keeping and deleting
An employer account is kept while it is in use and deleted on request, with what billing records the law requires kept as long as it requires them. Closed listings stay on the register — the register records what was advertised — but they are business records, not personal ones. To see, correct, or delete what the board holds about you, write to post@hiredrafters.com; where you are in the UK, EU, or a jurisdiction with similar rights, those rights — access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, and complaint to your supervisory authority — apply, and the board answers them at the same address. The board sells data to no one.
The board is not directed at children and knowingly collects nothing from anyone under sixteen.
Changes
When the substance of this sheet changes, the effective date above moves with it. The current sheet is always at this address; anything unclear, ask.
